Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions we get asked most often. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just drop us a message — we love hearing from you.
What experiences do you offer?
We offer guided alpaca walks, meet & greets, and wellbeing sessions. Everything is calm, friendly, and designed to help you slow down, connect with nature, and spend time with our gentle alpacas.
How do I book an experience?
All experiences are booked in advance so we can keep groups small and make sure everyone (including the alpacas!) has a calm, enjoyable time.
What should I wear?
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and closed-toe, sturdy footwear, as we walk through fields. Sandals are not suitable. Loose or flapping clothing should be avoided. We still walk in light rain, so waterproofs and suitable footwear are recommended depending on the weather. Pembrokeshire weather can change in a heartbeat, so layers are a good idea.
Are children welcome?
Yes — children are very welcome. Meet & greets are lovely for families, and alpaca walks are best for ages 8+. We just ask that little ones are supervised at all times.
Do you have toilet facilities on site?
At present, we do not have toilet facilities available on site. Handwashing facilities are provided. Please ensure you visit a public toilet before arriving, especially for younger children. If this may affect your visit, please feel free to contact us before booking. Thank you for your understanding – this supports the way our small farm currently operates.
Can I bring a dog?
To keep the alpacas calm and stress-free, visitors are asked not to bring dogs. We have working farm dogs on site, which are managed separately and kept away from visitors. If you absolutely cannot avoid bringing a dog, it should be supervised at all times and kept well away from the alpacas - please let us know before your visit.
Assistance dogs are usually unsuitable due to the nature of the experience; however, in some cases we may be able to accommodate them during a wellbeing session. Please contact us in advance to discuss.
Are your experiences suitable for people with mobility needs?
We try to make our experiences as accessible as possible. If you’d like to chat about your needs before booking, please get in touch — we’re happy to help.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We run experiences in most weather, but alpacas don’t enjoy heavy rain. If it’s too wet or unsafe, we may need to reschedule and we’ll always contact you to arrange a new date.
Can we visit just to see the alpacas without booking?
We don’t offer general farm visits. All visits must be booked as an experience so we can keep the herd calm and look after their wellbeing. We’re also a working farm, so we can’t accommodate drop-in visits.
How long do the experiences last?
Most experiences last between 60–120 minutes, depending on the session. The exact duration is shown in the booking details.
What can we expect during a walk?
You’ll be paired with an alpaca and guided through the countryside at a relaxed pace. You’ll learn about alpaca behaviour, care, and farm life, with plenty of time for questions.
Can I take photos?
Yes — photography is welcome. We ask that you respect the alpacas and avoid sudden movements or loud noises while taking pictures. It can be fun to see who gets the best selfie with their alpaca — some are more photogenic than others, and some are more obliging when it comes to cute poses!
Are all experiences available year-round?
Most of the year, yes. However, at certain times, experiences may be slightly adjusted to prioritise animal care and other farming or family commitments.
During busy farm periods, such as lambing, only Alpaca Meet & Greets will be available to book online, and Alpaca Walks will resume once the farm is quieter.
At other times, including alpaca birthing season, experiences run as shown in the booking calendar. You may be fortunate enough to witness an alpaca birth, and we kindly ask for your understanding if your host needs to handle a farm or animal-related emergency during your visit, which may briefly disrupt your activity.
If you’re unsure or have a specific request, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Are you a BAS Trusted Seller?
Yes — we are a British Alpaca Society (BAS) Trusted Seller.
This means our alpacas are bred and raised with high welfare standards, transparent health records, and honest, ethical sales practices. All alpacas offered for sale are accurately represented, well cared for, and handled with their long-term wellbeing in mind.
We’re always happy to talk things through, answer questions, and support new owners — whether you’re just starting out or adding to an existing herd.
Can I buy alpaca products at the farm?
We currently offer some of our homegrown raw alpaca fibre in the shop. Soon, we’ll also have beautiful products created in collaboration with a local weaving mill, including blankets and scarves. In addition, we’ll be adding our bird nesting products made from alpaca fibre. Everything will also be available online for easy ordering.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Full cancellation details are in your booking confirmation.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available and make a lovely way to treat someone to time with the alpacas.
